Nassau police investigating Carle Place bias incident

Nassau police are investigating a Carle Place bias incident in which someone painted a Jewish star on a car, police said.

An 18-year-old male found the Jewish star painted on the windshield of his 2000 Chevrolet about 1:35 a.m. in Carle Place, police said. Additionally, an obscenity was painted on the rear window.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the incident contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
