New Island Hospital changes to St. Joseph Hospital
New Island Hospital, which joined Catholic Health Services of Long Island in January, will now be known as St. Joseph Hospital.
"This is the final touch in joining Catholic Health Services" Dr. Aaron Glatt, chief executive of the 203-bed Bethpage hospital, said Tuesday. Glatt said the state had recently sent the hospital written approval of the name change.
