New town cemetery policy prevents burial in wrong grave

The staff of the cemetery operated by the Town of Hempstead, after learning of the second burial in the wrong grave within a year, took steps last winter to prevent such mistakes by asking funeral directors to sign an affidavit designating the location of the grave.
