Oakdale woman pleads guilty to beating her mother

An Oakdale woman who pleaded guilty last month to killing her former husband pleaded guilty Tuesday to assaulting her 83-year-old mother with the elderly woman's aluminum walking cane.

Nancy Boland, 57, will not serve any additional time under terms of her plea before Judge Martin Efman in Suffolk criminal courthouse in Riverhead.
