Fire officials are working to determine the cause of a house fire Friday morning in Oceanside, officials said.
Nassau County police said they received a call about the fire in the 3300 block of Gintell Street at about 8:52 a.m.
Oceanside Fire Department said it responded to the scene and put out the blaze within an hour with assistance from the Baldwin, Freeport, Island Park and Long Beach fire departments.
The occupants of the home got out safely and one firefighter was treated for minor injuries, a fire official said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Nassau County fire marshal’s office.
