Seven people were injured when a crossover utility vehicle overturned on Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre on Monday morning and the driver was arrested and charged with DWI, a village official said.

The driver, identified only as a 25-year-old man from Cambria Heights, Queens, also was among the injured. All seven people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries, a village spokesman said.

The single-vehicle accident, which involved a Toyota Venza occupied by seven people, occurred on the westbound roadway near Ocean Avenue at 10:22 a.m., the spokesman said. The road was briefly closed for investigation and cleanup of the accident.
