A man and two women from Queens face forgery charges after their car crashed Wednesday in Lynbrook and Nassau County police said they found re-encoded credit cards and a card-skimming device in the vehicle.
The Major Case Bureau said that Olawale G. Seriki, 29, of 149-67 255th St., Mesha Meronnee, 22, of 88-49 208th St., and Walesca Nelson, 21, of 90-04 210th St., were in a 2004 BMW involved in an accident on Sunrise Highway at about 6:15 p.m.
While investigating the accident, police said they found several numerous re-encoded credit cards, a credit card re-encoding device and a small card-skimming device.
Seriki is charged with 23 counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument. He also is charged with one count each of possession of a forgery device and unlawful possession of a skimmer device.
Meronnee and Nelson are charged with possession of a forgery device and unlawful possession of a skimmer device.
Each is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
