Nassau County police said Tuesday they are looking for two men who assaulted another man in Roosevelt, taking his money and a cellphone.

First Squad detectives said the robbery happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. Monday, when a man, 34, walking east on Lakewood Avenue was pushed to the ground by two other men.

The attackers kicked him and "removed an unknown amount of U.S. currency and the victim's cellphone before fleeing on foot northbound on Rose Avenue," police said in a news release.
