Third Squad detectives are looking for a gunman who robbed a BP gas station in Hempstead on Tuesday.

Nassau County police said the suspect, about 5-foot-10 with a thin build and wearing a baseball cap, entered the BP station at 771 Peninsula Blvd. at about 10:22 p.m.

He showed a handgun to the lone employee, then took an unspecified amount of cash before running off in an unknown direction, police said.
