Nassau County police are looking for three male suspects after a man reported being stabbed in an attempted robbery in New Cassel early Saturday.

The 22-year-old man was getting into his 2011 Chevrolet Camaro on Fourth Avenue at about 1 a.m. when he was approached by three men, police said. The man told police that the group demanded he give them the contents of his pockets.

He refused and as he drove away from the scene, he realized he had been stabbed in the lower right abdomen, right shoulder and upper right buttocks, police said. The victim called 911 and was taken by Nassau County police ambulance to a hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
