Police probe Roosevelt shooting

Officers responding to reports of a shooting in Roosevelt Friday night found a man who had been shot in the arm, Nassau police said.

According to detectives, police officers responded to call on Westerfield Avenue around 11:19 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a man who suffered a gunshot wound to his arm. The victim was brought to a hospital, where he was treated for a nonlife-threatening injury.
