Police seek three who attacked, robbed man in North Lawrence

A man on his way to work Sunday morning was robbed by a group of three youths in North Lawrence, Nassau County police said.

Police said the man, 35, was walking east on Mott Avenue near John Street at 6:30 a.m. when three teens approached him from behind.

The teens, all age 16 to 17 and wearing hoodies, then grabbed him, threw him on the ground and began kicking him in the head, police said.

One of the teens took property and cash from the victim before all three got on bicycles and rode away, heading north on Bernard Street, police said.

The victim received minor cuts, and refused medical attention, police said.
