Police: Speeding Massapequa driver killed on LIE
A Massapequa man who nearly struck a police car while speeding on the Long Island Expressway died Sunday after his car crashed into the woods beside an exit ramp, police and hospital officials said.
Julio Samayoa Jr., 26, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. Sunday -- 12 hours after the crash, said hospital spokeswoman Shelley Lotenberg.
