Police: Two Uniondale men accused in drug deal

Two Uniondale men will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead Sunday morning after police caught them making a drug deal Saturday night, Nassau County police said.

Marvin Fuentes, 20, who had more than 20 bags of a substance believed to be cocaine at the time of his arrest, is charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, authorities said.

Police also recovered three bags of what is believed to be cocaine from Edgar Salamanca, 42, who is charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Detectives said the two suspects were near Jerusalem and Greengrove avenues shortly after 10 p.m. when officers saw the drug transaction take place.
