Two men in a red Honda Civic with Massachusetts license plates robbed a woman at gunpoint late Tuesday night in front of her home in Elmont, Nassau County police said.

The robbery occurred outside the home on Norfeld Boulevard about 11:30 p.m.

Police said the two robbers took cash after forcing the woman to get money from the house and that the robbers fled when the woman's father came outside to investigate.

The 30-year-old victim had just arrived home, police said, when she saw the Honda pull up behind her. Police said one of the men inside the car exited the passenger seat and approached the victim, asking for directions. Police said the second robber then approached the woman, displayed a gun and demanded cash.
