Queens man held without bail in Hempstead fatal shooting

A Queens man was ordered held without bail Thursday on a charge he fatally gunned down a Hempstead man last month.

Judge Terence Murphy told William Flowers, 31, of 149-88 255th St., Rosedale, in First District Court in Hempstead that a lawyer would be appointed to represent him at his next court appearance on Feb. 25 because the Legal Aid Society does not represent clients in murder cases.
