An overturned vehicle closed the left lanes of Route 135 in Plainedge for about two hours in both directions early Wednesday, Nassau County police said.

Police did not have details, but a spokeswoman said the accident, reported at 6:09 a.m., did not appear to involve serious injury.

The state Department of Transportation website said the vehicle was on the northbound portion of the road, also known as the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, near Exit 7, Hempstead Turnpike.

Both left lanes were closed, the website said, because of police activity.

The southbound lane was reopened after about 30 minutes, and the situation was resolved at 8:04 a.m., the DOT site said.
