The 23-room Victorian home of Theodore Roosevelt, was the summer White House during his presidency. With furnishings unchanged since this time, it features mementos of the president's life, big-game trophies and gifts from world leaders.

The landscaped grounds can be enjoyed from one of Roosevelt's old rockers on the porch. The National Park Service administers the site and offers lectures and environmental programs. The Old Orchard Museum offers a virtual house tour and exhibits on TR and his entire life.


Grounds open daily: dawn to dusk. Museum and visitor center: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily Memorial Day-Labor Day; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wed.-Sun. after Sept. 6
