School board's president linked to kickback allegation
The president of the Lawrence Board of Education has been named in a federal civil complaint as a principal in a nursing home chain that allegedly accepted a $50 million kickback from the nation's largest nursing home pharmacy.
But Murray Forman, who was first elected to the Board of Education in 2005, Thursday denied the government's claims, calling the case "a meritless civil action."
