Snowfall less than predicted

A half-inch of snow topped accumulation totals for the Saturday snowstorm that fizzled.
Meteorologist Dan Hoffman with the National Weather Service in Upton said North Babylon had the most snowfall, at a half-inch.
Upton and Orient had four-tenths of an inch, and Islip and Mount Sinai had two-tenths of an inch.
Earlier Saturday, forecasters had revised downward the snow total predictions.
