Strong winds expected Friday night
Wind gusts as high as 45 to 50 mph could mean flight delays and dangerous roads across the metropolitan area Friday evening, the National Weather Service said.
A wind advisory for the region predicts sustained winds of up to 35 mph, said weather service meteorologist David Wally, who is based in Upton
