Suspect sought in Inwood shooting

The Fourth Squad is investigating a shooting that occurred in Inwood early Saturday morning, Nassau County police said.

According to detectives, a group of men were standing in front of a house on the 100 block of Jeanette Avenue arguing. One of the men allegedly took out a handgun and shot another man, 28, in the upper back, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. His identity was not released.

The shooter was still at-large Saturday morning, having fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said. His identity was not known, police said.
