Suspects sought in Uniondale street robbery

Nassau County police are asking for the public's help in an investigation of a robbery that occurred late Friday night in Uniondale.

Detectives said a 22-year-old man was walking on Clinton Avenue just before midnight when five men punched and kicked him repeatedly.

One of the men took the victim's cellphone from his pocket, then all the subjects fled on foot southbound on Clinton Avenue.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for a laceration to his left leg. There was no further description of the subjects.
