A Syosset man was arrested Thursday after an undercover Nassau detective met with him in response to the man's Craigslist advertisement that offered LSD for sale, police said.

The two met at Greenfield Road and Locust Lane in Syosset. But it was then determined that the 10 strips offered for sale were not LSD, but a fake, police said, so Adam Friedman, 24, of 405 Gardiners Ave., was charged with sale of imitation controlled substance-manufacture.

Friedman was released with a desk ticket pending his appearance July 5 in First District Court, Hempstead, police said.
