Tugboat launched in Oyster Bay returns after makeover
After being launched in 1949 at Jakobson Shipyard in Oyster Bay, the tugboat Cornell bustled through a busy career towing barges carrying railcars or oil around New York City and Boston.
Now, the newly restored vessel is making a high-profile return to its birthplace as a featured attraction at this weekend's Oyster Bay Oyster Festival. Visitors are allowed on the boat for free.
