She needed no introduction.

Except perhaps for one moviegoer who caused quite a stir at Saturday night's 8 p.m. showing of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" in Westbury, where actress Nikki Reed made a surprise appearance.

"Who are you?" the man called out from far back in the crowd. "Who are you?"

"I'm Nikki!" she said.

Gasp! her fans guffawed.

Reed, 22, is among the stars of the "Twilight" franchise's third installment, which hit theaters last week. Bloomberg News reports it's poised to gross about $80.2 million in its opening weekend July 2-4, citing Hollywood.com.

Actors from the movie made surprise visits to theaters around the country this weekend. Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the vampire and werewolf flick, had sauntered unannounced into the dimmed theater at the UA Westbury Stadium on Brush Hollow Road just as the movie was set to begin.

She stepped into a spotlight. Moviegoers raised their cameras and cellphones to snap pictures. No autographs, she said.

There was a 15-minute question-and-answer session. Among the queries:

Is she single?

Yes, she said.

Does she get to choose the clothes she wears in the movie?

No, she said, she has no say.

What about her advice for aspiring actresses?

"I wish I could say that there is a formula for success in this business, but a lot of it is luck," she said.

Someone in the audience asked about her favorite book.

"I enjoyed reading 'New Moon,' " she said.

That's the book that inspired the second installment in the "Twilight" series.

Of course.
