Uniondale man killed while crossing Sunrise Highway
A Uniondale man was fatally struck Sunday morning while trying to cross Sunrise Highway on foot after he was involved in a minor car accident, police said.
The man, 56, was driving a 1992 BMW westbound on Sunrise Highway just west of Washington Avenue in Seaford shortly before 1 a.m. when he rear-ended a 2000 Nissan that was also headed west, Nassau police said. Police asked that Newsday...
