'No plans' for Yanks' Alex Rodriguez to quit: Report
Those hoping Alex Rodriguez might walk quietly into the sunset after the latest PED allegations should stop holding their breath.
A source close to the Yankees third baseman told ESPNNewYork.com on Thursday that "Alex has no plans at all to retire" following new accusations that he used performance enhancing drugs from 2009 through last year.
Rodriguez is still due to make at least $114 million over the next five years. He's also expected to miss half the 2013 season - perhaps longer - after undergoing hip surgery last month.
Even if Rodriguez returns from the surgery and drug controversy, he may never play for the Yankees again, a team source told the Daily News.
