Wantagh man charged in fatal hit and run
A 47-year-old Wantagh man is under arrest after a hit-and-run crash Sunday morning that fatally injured a pedestrian in Uniondale, police said.
Nassau County police said Philip DiBenedetto of Tardy Lane was driving his 2002 Volkswagen Jetta when he struck and killed Jose Alvarado, 38, of Park Place in Roosevelt.
