NEWTOWN - There is a new theory emerging in the Newtown massacre.

Some believe Adam Lanza went on a shooting spree because his mother planned to commit him to a mental institution.

Adam Lanza shot his mother Nancy as she slept in her bed.

He then went to the school where his mother volunteered and gunned down 26 victims.

Published reports say Lanza may have shot the children because he thought his mother loved them more than she loved him and she was going to send him away.
