New Yorkers see progress 40 years after Dr. King's death
On April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King was assassinated on the balcony outside his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tenn. Today, 40 years later, many New Yorkers invoke his legacy, but some point out that racial justice is not always the same as racial equality.
