North Amityville's infamous intersection

The intersection of Albany Avenue and Great Neck Road in North Amityville -- long known simply as "the corner" -- is infamous for its open-air drug trade. In February 2013, Babylon Town officials were considering proposals to build a nonprofit food market, affordable housing or an urgent care medical center at the intersection, which has struggled to support legitimate commerce.
