North Hempstead supervisor eyed as new head of LIPA

WOODBURY - North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman could become the new head of LIPA. A source tells News 12 Long Isladn that Kaiman is the leading candidate to become chief executive of the utility company.

The job was vacated by Kevin Law, when he became head of the Long Island Association in 2010.

The LIPA board could vote on a new chief as soon as next month. Nassau Legislator Wayne Wink has already said he'd be interested in filling Kaiman's seat at town hall.
