NORWALK - Norwalk Mayor Dick Moccia visited local elementary schools today to help reassure children, teachers and parents that the city's schools are safe.

Education officials across the state are reviewing security procedures and, at some schools, forming committees to explore new ways to keep kids protected. In Norwalk, police will be patrolling schools all week.

Moccia says he wants parents to understand that they can have concerns, but that they should not show fear to their children.
