The National Weather Service said it expects "isolated minor tidal flooding" during the high tide cycle Friday morning into the early afternoon.
Tidal departures of a half foot or less are expected "around the time of high tide" between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. along the back bays of the South Shore and at the Atlantic Ocean facing beaches. Those same tidal departures are expected between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. along the western Long Island Sound shoreline, forecasters said.
"Historically vulnerable locations" should experience isolated minor tidal flooding, forecasters said.
The tide levels are forecast to be "slightly less than those observed Thursday morning," the National Weather Service said.
