Keith Romaine's aunt asked the parishioners at St. John the Evangelist Church to remember her nephew as someone who could be headstrong, but always with a smile.
Romaine, a Brookhaven councilman who died Saturday at the age of 36 from complications with pneumonia, carried those traits into public service, she said.
