Supporters, mourners flock to Newtown

Memorials are springing up across the town to remember those killed in Friday's shooting.

NEWTOWN - People from far and wide are showing immense support for Friday's elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Memorials are springing up across the town to remember the 26 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Mourners lit candles and laid out flowers and stuffed animals, while firefighters hung wreaths for the victims.

The outpouring has even extended beyond state borders, with people from across the country visiting and offering assistance.
