NEWTOWN, Conn. - Witnesses of Friday's elementary school shooting say two victims sprung into action to save their students.

Witnesses say Principal Dawn Hochsprung, 47, turned on the office intercom to alert teachers as the gunman started firing. She had recently installed a new security system at the school.

Sources say another victim was Vicki Soto, 27, who had worked at Sandy Hook Elementary School for five years as a first-grade teacher. Police say Soto was shot and killed after she hid her students in a closet.
