WOODBURY - State officials are examining how they could restructure LIPA in the wake of the historic outages following Hurricane Sandy.

Officials tell Newsday one option is to sell the grid to a private company.

An administration source in Gov. Cuomo's office says that the global investment bank Lazard is researching the possibilities.
