The Oyster Bay Branch was on or close to schedule shortly before noon Friday after signal trouble caused by a downed tree west of the Glen Head station caused delays and cancellations during the morning rush, the Long Island Rail Road said.

The signal trouble led to the cancellation of two westbound trains from Oyster Bay, including one scheduled to depart at 7:13 a.m.

At about 10:30 a.m., the LIRR said in an alert that the tree had been removed and workers were working to clear the remaining debris from the tracks and utility wires.

Otherwise, the LIRR was reporting Friday mostly good service at its site,
