CONSERVATIVE 

BACKGROUND: Flanagan, 53, of Miller Place, also is running on the Republican, Independence and Working Families lines. He was elected as Suffolk County District Court judge, Town of Brookhaven, in 2004. From 1997 to 2003, he served as principal law secretary for Supreme Court Justice Ralph Costello in Riverhead. From 1986 to 1996, he was a senior trial attorney with CIGNA Insurance Co. He received a B.A. degree from Fordham University in 1977 and an MBA from Dowling College in 1995. He received his law degree from New York Law School in 1980. He is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
