7th S.D.: Martins ruled off Tax Revolt line
The Nassau Board of Elections has ruled that Jack Martins, the mayor of Mineola and Republican candidate challenging Sen. Craig Johnson (D-Port Washington), did not file enough valid signatures to qualify for nomination on the Tax Revolt line, the GOP-created third-party label that helped Ed Mangano in his election as county executive last year.
