For GOP, Cox gives his election-night world view
Ed Cox, state Republican chair, said a GOP victory would be a referendum on Democratic performance nationally and locally.
"Democrats in Albany, Washiongton (DC) and in the Suffolk County legislature ran the state, America, and the county into the ground," Cox charged.
He pointed at budget deficits in all three levels Voters are worried Democrats will close deficits by raising taxes instead of cutting spending, by Cox's partisan account.
He said: "People are having to cut back and save more because they're worried about losing their jobs. They're going to be darned if they're if they have to pay higher taxes because government cant cut spending."
