Grocery workers union backs Suozzi for county executive
Long Island’s largest grocery workers union is backing Thomas Suozzi for Nassau County Executive – the first endorsement from organized labor in the Democratic primary for the county’s highest seat.
Bruce Both, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500, said the union would work “tirelessly” to return Suozzi to the seat he held from 2001-2009.
