Health care protest at McCarthy office in Garden City

About 50 health-care protesters gathered Wednesday evening outside the Garden City offices of U.S. Rep. Carolyn McCarthy.

The protesters appeared about 4:30 p.m. on a grassy strip outside her office in Garden City Plaza, and dispersed shortly after 6 p.m.

Several of the protesters waved American flags; others held signs reading: “Obamacare: a clunker for healthcare,” and...
