Democratic Nassau executive candidate Adam Haber announced Wednesday the formation of his campaign team, including veterans from local and national races.

“Running against Nassau’s notorious machine politics, I need tough, smart campaign veterans who know Nassau County, know how to get our message out to voters and know how to win,” said Haber, a member of the Roslyn School Board.

“With this team, we’re going to build the top-notch grassroots operation we’ll need to get Nassau County back on the right track.”

The team is led by campaign manager Justin Myers, a former history teacher who managed Nina Bastardi’s failed 2009 campaign for Nassau County Legislature against then Legis. John Ciotti. In 2012, Myers managed the successful re-election campaign of Democratic Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey.

“I am thrilled to manage Adam’s campaign and be back in Nassau County working to end years of mismanagement that have failed to stamp out corruption, reduce the county’s deficit or fix the assessment system,” Myers said.

The rest of the campaign team includes:

Communications and Policy director Galen Alexander, who has worked on congressional campaigns in Maryland and Connecticut and was a policy adviser in the House of Representatives.

Field director Alexandra Zeitz-Moskin, who previously worked for Organizing for America, a community organizing project of the Democratic National Committee.

General consultants Red Horse Strategies, which will assist the campaign with communications and field operations.

Pollster Fred Yang of Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group, whose client list includes 10 members of the U.S. Senate, 16 members of the House and 5 sitting governors.

Communications strategist and advertising producer Jennifer Burton, who has worked on campaigns in more than 30 states.
