Interesting timing for Suffolk PD chief's unusual e-mail
Suffolk Police Commissioner Richard Dormer put the department's e-mail list to unusual use today when he sent to reporters and scores of others a note with the subject line "AP story." The text included an Associated Press story about racial tensions in Patchogue following the killing of Ecuadorean immigrant Marcelo Lucero in 2008.
