Nassau Democrats: Suozzi-Haber talks, if any, kept secret
Moments after winning Tuesday’s Democratic primary for Nassau County executive, Thomas Suozzi told a crowd of supporters that he would meet with his opponent, Adam Haber, to discuss ways they could “work together” to defeat Republican County Executive Edward Mangano in November.
The meeting between Suozzi and Haber came and went last Thursday but the two Democrats – who did not shy away from comment during the campaign – have been surprisingly quiet about their clandestine summit.
Asked for comment on Friday about the location of the meeting, the issues that were discussed or if the two men shared a meal, spokesmen for both campaigns declined to comment.
Haber’s camp also declined to discuss if he will endorse Suozzi or wage a third-run on the Liberal Party line.
