Credit New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti for coming up with a more interesting Stanley Cup bet than their respective governors.

If the New York Rangers win, Garcetti will sing "New York, New York" on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show. If the Los Angeles Kings win, de Blasio will sing "I Love LA."

Hockey's championship series began Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and California Gov. Jerry Brown announced their wager. Brown bet brown rice cakes and a California history book on the Kings; Cuomo bet a basket of New York food products and a 2013 hockey puck.
