Senate calls for tax cuts, Assembly for boosting state aid
With state budget negotiations about to get serious, Senate Republicans on Friday called for a raft of business tax cuts.
The GOP called for $2.5 billion in tax cuts, including some that senators have promoted previously. Among the highlights: Allowing a temporary surcharge on utilities expire as scheduled, phasing out the corporate tax and fast-tracking state permitting.
